vitamincj
What is on the front of this Hind? Photoshop? Robotech? The longer I look at this pic the more I think it's a photoshop. What are your 2 cents? CJ

Lustalbert
I have seen the yellow pod before, the weapon under I have not.
SPLN SUX
you know, it could be some sort of sonar device... since it is pointing down at a pretty steep angle and flying over the ocean.
Stanello
Weebo, from Flubber.
mmrmnhrm
The yellow pod is a FLIR of some sort, probably a prototype since it's not painted to match. I don't think it's a photo-chop since the color does reflect off the lower pod, there aren't any harsh cut-paste lines around it, and that god-awful bracket is just the sort of thing we'd rig up during my days at Grumman. That lower pod just looks to be your standard, run of the mill, "reach out and ruin someone's day" rifle. Probably isn't particularly effective against a person at range, but plenty accurate enough for shots against light vehicles.
Draco-REX
That's a Hind gunship. This is probably a retrofit of a prototype system trying to match our Apache.

MrMeanGreen
That's a FLIR as stated above. Forward Looking Infra-Red.
Guest robhawk
The weapon is a modified version of our Browning .50 cal, and the pod is a motion sensitive camera that follows the movement of the gunners head, capable of Thermal, Night vision, and Infared. GonneVille
The weapon is a modified version of our Browning .50 cal, and the pod is a motion sensitive camera that follows the movement of the gunners head, capable of Thermal, Night vision, and Infared. If it's Russian, it'll use the .51 round (more properly, the 12.7x107) which is a heavier and faster round than the BMG. The gun system itself has NOTHING to do with John Browning's design, either.
