smokin5s Posted November 27, 2007 Author Report Share Posted November 27, 2007 here is our internal job posting info Description Remote software Installation of multi user tasks (includes: setup, configuration, troubleshooting and upgrades to any individual components) · Responsible to Maintain , Develop and support the SMS Desktop Environment · Intermediate knowledge of SMS report development · Responsible for adherence to all production PSP processes · Responsible for developing and maturing the automation infrastructure to Top Quartile Standards · Responsible for application packaging and maturing the packaging process. · Responsible for the support and development of Softricity · Intermediate knowledge of the following software or its equivalent. Also includes installation and support for these products (includes: setup, configuration, troubleshooting and upgrades). This list is not all inclusive and only represents the most common packages/software. · Terminal Emulation programs (i.e. Extra!, Client Access, E3 GUI (Graphical User Interface), etc.) · Microsoft Project · Microsoft VISIO · Softricity · McAfee Antivirus · Remote Access software (i.e. Virtual Private Networking) · Flex net admin studio, SMS installer, Wise packaging utilities, and Setup Factory. · Maintain SLP (Service Level Partnerships) with business units · Intermediate knowledge of networking concepts (i.e. TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), DNS (Domain Name Service)) · Perform administrative functions related to support and project activities. · Initiate support activities related to areas of responsibility. · Prepare and communicate status, issues, and opportunities to management. · Manage minor problems and issues related to automation systems. · Escalates larger problems and issues to management for timely resolution. · Manages or independently implements small to medium size technology projects. · Able to escalate issues with vendors and external organizations. · Analyze software/hardware performance issues and isolate bottleneck areas. · Evaluate new hardware/software.
