Need help diagnosing a steering problem.

So, driving the Jag around last night, and the power steering just stopped. Big car with big tires, that sucked.

 

So, I pull off, and check the reservoir; empty, wtf?

I'm in a meijer parking lot, so I add some fluid while its running....POW! The passenger side boot explodes. It shoots a 10ft sneeze through my wheel and out into the parking lot, it was impressive.

 

If I'm not mistaken, the boots aren't supposed to be pressurized...I need a new rack, right?

 

 

Or, is there some other type of problem that would cause the boot to explode if fluid was added?

I think you're right about the bad rack, any chance you could post video of the boot sneeze?

Wow...that would have been cool to watch. New steering rack reccomended on this man.
