Totally different bikes really....

F4i is a more street friendly daily rider and the 600RR is more of the race bike. Old info but I don't believe they changed anything besides colors in the last couple years. Plus they just quit making the F4i in 2006... http://www.mcnews.com.au/Testing/Honda/CBR600F4i/Page1.htm

Similar to Yamaha's R6S and R6 now or Kawi's ZZR-600 and ZX6R....

In most cases, a novice rider will be quicker and more comfortable on the F4i (R6s, ZZR-600, etc....). These were all "race replica" bikes that are now one generation removed. The new crop has all the power up top and can be very demanding to ride at times whereas the previous generation has more power throughout. One magazine did a test of the new R6 vs an R6s and the "s" model whipped the racer on the street and barely got beat on the track.
