gaewsky1
If you saw a car you wanted on say, Ebay, but the current owner didn't have the title in hand would you still bid for it? I ask because I don't have the title but would pay off the balance with the money from the sale. I just would feel bad if the new owner had to wait until I got the title from the bank and then send it to new owner before they could get tags for it. I just know I will get a few grand more selling it myself than trading it in.

gaewsky1
So how do I go about selling it? Ebay was just a thought. I still owe on it but trade in will get me negative on the next car. This sucks. Guess I'll see what trade in will be and work some extra hours at work to make up the difference.

gaewsky1
Just be upront about it in your auction- people do this all the time... Thanks thats what I thought. I figured my price should be low enough that the buyer shouldn't have a problem with waiting.
RCode04
Make a bill of sale when you get the money. Your buyer can use this to get their own temp tag at the bureau. You can also give them a letter of guaranty on the title. It basically states that you will deliver a clean title within an agreed upon time frame. Send me a PM if you want a copy of one and I can email you a template for both the Bill of Sale and a Certificate of Representation we use here at the bank where I work.
