Dr. Apex
2 weeks from now we have our next events. Saturday May 3 is the OVR drivers school and sunday the 4th is points event #2 @ Ackerman Lot. The school is reccommended for people within their first couple of years of autocross or have never been to autocross. There is a limit of 50 drivers to keep the ratio of teachers to students at a good level, 11 are registered as I type this so sign up soon. You will see probably 25-35+ laps of one-on-one instruction throughout the day. If you've been wanting to give autocross a try this is the perfect venue to learn in. Sunday is a normal event open to everyone and a good opportunity to test out what you learned from the drivers school.

Rally Pat
IDK if I want to retake the school. It was a great experience and everything, but I would much rather save up and take the Evo school or something.
TheHaze
I have no doubt that I could really use the seat time at the driver's school but work owned me. I'm registered for points #2, though.
Dr. Apex
The Evo school is not coming here this year. The closest one was Cincy and I think they already had it. You will get a lot of seat time and it can't hurt, that's for sure. Depending on how many people they have instructing it may be only 5 students per instructor. I should be there instructing and I believe Rich(31rx7) might be as well.

Dr. Apex
On the DLB calendar if you hover over the right icon it will tell you how many are registered. Do it sooner than later as it will likely fill up before this weeks end.
Patrick
Registered. Seat time is good time, plus there's pointers to be had as well, always a plus. I need to learn properly!
Chief8one
One day when I have the cash flow I'll do a driver school
craig71188
I will be there - and am signed up to instruct as well. From the way the discussion went at the last event - each instructor may only have 2-3 people to work with.
Dr. Apex
^That would be great to have that low a ratio!!!
Patrick
'Twas like that last year. I was with Dick Safier in the turbo bmw...wow, that was a rush.

hpfiend
yeah tommy you make almost 50% more to the wheels then the wife and I's car makes at the crank. I am curious to see what other cars are in G-stock as this rsx handles head over heels over the 1977 Porsche 924 I was put in the same class with about 11 years ago at my one and only other autox experience- my 17 year old driving ability didn't help but that car should have been in Z stock.
