Hi, my name is Shawn. I own a 93 Nissan 240SX coupe. It's all pretty much stock right now except for a cold air intake, 3" cat back with resonator to replace the cat. Gauges, and a few other little things that don't matter much.

Here's a few pics of it. I have a few more of the body that I will post later.

I'm planing on doing a RB20DET swap hopefully sometime this summer. After that I'm going to paint it(maybe put a body kit on it) some nice wheels and fix the inside up, because it looks to me like Freddy Krueger got my dash pretty good  .

Sorry these pic's ain't all that great. I took them with my sidekick.

Took a few pic's while I was changing the valve cover gasket, thermostat, oil, and spark plugs.

Everyone has there own opinion. I like my car, it's don't sound like a ricer, but at least wait until I get the RB20DET in it and tell me if it's a ricer then. I'll post the pic's of the body when I get home from work tonight.

Well, consitering I have only had the car about 2 mounths I haven't really been all that worried about the motor. It runs great and will get me back and forth to work untill I get the inside of the car to where at least I can stand it. And most people don't have $1,300 they can throw around right away. It takes some saving.

As for the ricer thing. Oh well at least it don't sound like a Honda.

I don't have a cat but it's not really loud, it's got a nice deep tone to it. Trust me I would have ripped all of it right back out if it would have sounded like all the Hondas and Acuras that you see running around......like a ticked off bumble bee, if that's how you like to put it.

Eh, everyone just jumps on the bandwagon here. Maybe pop the bright yellow shit off then what would he have? Gauges? OMGRICE!!! At least he could pop a valve cover off which is probably more than 10 percent of the people on here can.

This is the one and only time I will stick up for a random noob and you got it. Congrats!

I can care less about the exhaust, it can somewhat be performance, but 3" on a NA engine? maybe you just bought in and is going FI in the future I am talking about all the guages and yellow crap on the car, whats the point in having all the guages ? its for looks?

I admit, a lot of the reason behind getting the gauges was for looks. But on the other hand I also thought that it would be nice to be able to see a vacuum leak rather than listen for it and maybe never even hear it. Sorta the same thing with the volts if the it was to jump around then I would have kinda a warning as to the altinator going south.

With the exhaust, I orderd 2 and a half but they sent me 3. I'm not going to complane though because if it holds up then I'm going to use it for the RB20 swap.

welp most people put guages because they need it , things like boost, egt, wideband, oil press on modded engine ect, putting guages in for vac and volt does not do it, I dunno maybe you have other reasons behind it, and its not my car but oh well......and why are you wanting the rb20 for? it makes less power then the sr20det , parts are more hard to find, the wiring is more diff, have to use custom mounts, ect? rb20 are only cool when they are fully built, which is going to be hard to even find someone to carry rods for the engine, or cams ect...... what are you going to do when your volt meter tells you alternator in your rb20 is going out and you can not find one for it?
