94TanRanger Posted April 29, 2008 Report Share Posted April 29, 2008 i have a 94 ford ranger with the 2.3 in it, when i bought it a couples weeks ago the guy told me it needed the front pump and gave me another bellhouse that had one on it. well long story short i took the bellhouse off and found a broken washer of some sort, then took the pan off and found some pretty big pieces of metal. my problem is i cant find a trans to put in it anywhere or i just dont know if any others will swap into it or should i just rebuild the one i have? i have been quoted around $800 for a rebuild and really wasnt looking to put that much into it. any help would be great because i dont know a thing about transmissions. thanks chris Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

94TanRanger Posted April 29, 2008 Author Report Share Posted April 29, 2008 yeah im tryin to find something close, if at all possible. but my main thing does anyone know if anyother trans are interchangable from different models (ie. 2.3mustang, explorer, etc...)?
