neonkiller
This is a long Post if you dont wanna read it please leave now first I will get the thank you's out of the way. Big ups to: Adam At UNitronic Garry @ Wreckless Tuning John Moore @ Moore Speed and Performance HGB RobC6, Held my brake peadal and stripped out bolts;) And anyone who has answered a question of mine on this site  so this year I start out with a brand new trans mission no miles on it at all from HGB, I had him install a TDI 5th and a Pelequinn Diff. I also added Bildon extreme Axles and some BFG drag radials for some stickiness. http://sniperkids.com/SpringInstall/NewTrans.jpg http://sniperkids.com/SpringInstall/BildonAxles.jpg http://sniperkids.com/SpringInstall/BildonvsStock.jpg
neonkiller
http://sniperkids.com/SpringInstall/NewAxle12mm.jpg Bildon was also nice enough to leave out one bolt and one washer for the driver side axle, I was mad so I went to Home depot and got a hex nut that fit for the time being. It worked flawlessly. +1 for Home Depot. http://sniperkids.com/SpringInstall/NewTrans.jpg Also took out the Secondary air injection along with the hardlines. http://sniperkids.com/SpringInstall/SecondarySucks.jpg
neonkiller
I also wanted to cool my engine bay a bit and get a Oil catch can, John Moore from Moore Speed and Perfomance helped me with the catch can and he custom built one for me  . I did a lil engineering myself to help the temps under the hood by cutting out vents above the VW emblem up front. http://sniperkids.com/SpringInstall/SpeedHolesEngine.jpg http://sniperkids.com/SpringInstall/FinishedCatchCan2).jpg http://sniperkids.com/MoorePerformance/CatchcanHalfdone.jpg
neonkiller
http://sniperkids.com/MoorePerformance/CatchcanEngineBay.jpg After this I head out to the track and I manage to pull a 12.8 pass on moderate boost. Then later this week went for some 1\8th mile racing and managed a 8.5.. Not to bad considering I have the worst gearing out of any 02j in the world.. I forget what it is but it came in the 180HP models after 2002... I want my old 02J EGX gears  After running good at the track I decided it was time to get her dynoed. This winter if you dont remember I installed an AEB head and AGU intake mani, along with all these other goodies... Along with a new File from adam at Unitronics  Well about 30 mins on the return trip home we stopped to get gas and my clutch pedal was stuck to the floor... It would not release. It felt like the clutch had broken apart and was dragging and not letting me shift into gear :banghead: We stopped and the top of the shift linkage was loose so we tighntened it down still no good :banghead: At one point IO could press the clutch to the floor "No Pressure" and It seemed as it was vibrating off some metal and making the most horrible metal on metal grinding noise... I managed to limp it back to the garage and lay her to rest. I was mad I just shut the door and have not been back since "5 days ago". Me and Garry from Wreckless are gonna tear the tranny off this weekend and see what damage was done.. If its just the clutch then I'm lucky. But If not ive been looking at dog boxes :screwy: This will be my 4th 02j  BTW the clutch that is in the car was a Spec stage 3+ it held together for 3 transmissions and more races and racing than I can count  If it has failed after this much abuse it was well worth the money. Only thing I'm bummbed about it missing out on the upcoming car shows and the Buschur racing event that I was all hyped up on.
Twistedrx7
When my clutch pedal did that shanton, it ended up being the Clutch Slave Cylinder. Just needed replaced. Same exact thing symptoms. Hope everything comes together.

schmuckingham
MAybe the clutch assembly finally took a crap. I am assuming John Moore is the same John Moore from SlowMo back in the day. If so he does good work and is a real standup guy.

RedRocket1647545505
If you go with a new tranny, are you finally going to go with some shorter gears to really get that bitch moving?
Twistedrx7
yeah, check your brake fluid and see if it is low or gone. Open up your inspection plates on the tranny from underneath and see if fluid is just chillin in there.
