TEXASS Posted May 23, 2008 Report Share Posted May 23, 2008 for now at least. couple days ago the motor i have (BBC 468) was running like shit and back firing threw the carb. the timing on it was good so i went to go adjust the valves and #8 exhaust was lose as shit like just hanging there. so i go to adjust it and go turn the crank over to do the intake and the exhaust valve wasn't moving at all. so i took the intake off and found out the camshaft is rounded(fuck). but at least i don't have a whole in the block. but it still sucks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tinman Posted May 24, 2008 Report Share Posted May 24, 2008 If you are running a flat tappet cam in this day and age you need to a zinc additive for your oil or run a zinc rich racing oil like Brad Penn Oil or Joe Gibbs Oil.
