I don't know how I'd have dealt with being at a party and seeing someone shoot an 8 year old in the face. Pretty sure if I was able to get to the guy they'd throw me in jail for what I'd do to him. If you were caught concealing a handgun in Tombstone it was a $32 fine. They had conceal carry permits even back then.
