Guest mrhobbz
So last night I was getting off of 270 at alum creek from gahanna and I decided to swing by mcdonalds. As soon as I get back onto alum creek I dug my foot into it a little bit and my voltage gauge dropped to 12 from the 13.8 that it normally sits at. Well I drove it home and it was sitting at 12 fine. Driving home from my friends house tonight it dropped to 10 so I instantly got worried. I don't hear the alternator whining so I'm not sure what the problem is. Does anyone have any ideas? Also I have nothing attached to the battery that isn't factory.
TA In Progress
Sounds like every time I've had an alternator go bad. I'd get the alternator and battery checked, and also check your battery terminals and any connections on the alternator. Stick to the simplest things first. Dave1647545494
you should see 13-14v all the time if the alt is charging pull it off and have it bench tested autozone and advance can both do this for you
Chadz89GTA
That V6 doesnt put out enough power to crank the alt over for maximum voltage, so to fix this just remove the shitty V6 and put the LS1 in there.

Chadz89GTA
Damn, by the looks of the picture your speedo cable must be snapped and you HAVE to be in a ditch sideways. Wrapping the speedo at 15XX RPM? Nty.
