TurboRust
It should also be noted that the last 98-00 4cyl one i saw break a timing belt ended up bending valves due to the vct(variable cam timing) selenoid attempting to advance the cam as the belt was shredding. Capital Towing Recovery
Yea I am not sure what damage has been done to the motor, all I know is my mechanic told me the timing belt needed replaced. It’s really hard to tell if anymore damage has been done to the motor without replacing that I guess. To anyone that wants to buy please be aware the possibly of more damage than what is listed due to me not knowing exactly what damage has been done. I claimed title on this car from my impound lot and I am simply reselling it in AS-IS condition.
TurboRust
for anyone considering this, you can replace the timing belt and instantly do a compression test to check(saves you time from reassembling all the accessories and covers if the motors trashed).
