NinjaNick
Break-In procedure:http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htmI don't live by the posted procedure on bikes and they last forever and run STRONG. Plus you'll get ran over on the road going that slow, it's more dangerous than anything.

MOST IMPORTANT is changing the oil, and using a dino oil during the break in period.on my 636 I let it warm up to temp at the dealer, then turned if off and let it cool down, then rode it up to temp, did a few 3rd gear pulls progressively to redline, then changed the oil and filter. Rode at varying RPMs and throttle inputs and did a good amount of engine braking all the way to 500 miles, then changed oil and filter again, this time went to semi-synthetic (HP4) and never looked back.
