Upconverts to 1080p, but what is that really going to do vs. a 1080i upconversion. In the end, it is still a 480i source, so I doubt you'll see any difference at all. At $100, that's a bit steep for my pocket book on a singe disc upconversion player.

Search avsforums for that dvd player. Every home theatre nerd in the universe thinks it is the greatest dvd player to ever spin a disc. Without searching, I want to say it's normally around $180 or so.

exactly... its upconvert is like no other player.. and plays all formats

Not as good as my Blu-Ray. ;)

 

manavox = 40 bucks

 

blue ray = 300 mininum

 

mine will play burnt dvds, and cheapies.

 

yours will only llok good at 40 bucks a dvd.

 

 

I envy you. Yours>mine . in every way. But, im okay with that.:p

is it worth the price difference? on a 1080i tv? 40in?

If you're really interested in it, I would highly recommend going over to avsforum.com and running a search. There is tons info on that site about everything you could ever wish for.

I was just screwin with ya.... ;)

 

I actually paid $290 for my Sony BDP. And they will play CD's, BD's, and regular DVD's.... just FYI.
