KYB GR-2s???

how are these shocks/struts

not looking for something for SCCA or anythign, but just a better shock /strut than stock

 

car will be street driven, and see some track days (drag and autox)

 

oh these are going on my mustang by the way

Agree with the above, GR-2's are basically an oem equivalent. The KYB AGX work well but the GR-2's leave a lot to be desired. I'm running the GR-2's on my daily driven VW and wish I had waited to go a different route.

 

I've heard a lot of good reviews on the Sensatracs, I may go with them next since I've put around 50K on the KYB's in the last two years.

I have been told that kybs are only good for collecting rust at the bottom of a pond. I used to have them on my mustang and would agree.

 

Monroe Sensacraps arent much better. Read about them on the corral.

 

Get a set of tokico hp blues (and a minimum for any autox duty) they are pretty cheap and fantastic shocks compared to OEM.

 

If you want a really nice competitive setup however buy my bilsteins and pair them with some h&r race springs (I already sold those)- they are very cheap for such little use..
