nurkvinny
I have a guy that can deliver and tailgate 10 tons of "4-11" stone tomorrow for $14 a ton for 10 tons. I had originally been looking for crushed 57's. So, is this 4-11 comparable? Worth a shit?
Dr. Apex
57's are good stone, I personally havn't heard of this 411 stuff. What are you doing with it? I know the 57's work good for drainage amongst things.
Linc5.0
4-11's are more of a base builder(bottom layer), and 57's are more of top layer stone.....
nurkvinny
Using it in the driveway. Crushed 57 is what I have been putting in it. I was told the 4-11 is better and stops a lot of the weeds, so I am assuming it is smaller or has more "powder" in it and packs better. Twistedrx7
#411 is basically #57 but with crushed limestone pieces in it. It is primary used for the base of a patio. I would not use it for a driveway unless it was the very base material, even then i would of used #2 or #4.
Clifford Automotive
If your buying in Ohio there is 2 kinds of #57 There is Ohio 57 a blend of 5 and 7 and there is limestone 57. Good driveway base. You dont want 411 its golfball sized down to sand. Recycled Concrete is a good alternative to 57 it sells average for about 15 a ton.
