Clifford Automotive
Heres an idea...Dont put the mitt all the way back into the bucket if you are only using 1 bucket. Hang it on the edge.

88lx5oh
Heres an idea...Dont put the mitt all the way back into the bucket if you are only using 1 bucket. Hang it on the edge. not as effective i recommend using 2 buckets one with a grit guard and one without. one with your wash mix, and another with clean water, dip into soapy water, wash part of car, rinse into clean water, dip back into soapy water.. dont let the mitt or sponge hit bottom of clean water bucket thoguh, jsut dip in and rinse quick then onto the soapy water mix.. youll get a pretty clean mit that way. also if you can find a foam type spray nozzle, even one that allows soap in the handle and a trigger button to help foam away debris before using the mitt on it, that helps to i usually , foam, rinse, foam, rinse, wash with mitt, rinse, foam, rinse. this is after i have already completed my wheels, fender wells, and lower half that will get the most dirty. which i use a seperate bucket, wash mitt for. Smokey
^^ Hey Ryan, wouldn't the grit guard be best used in the rinse bucket of only water? That way you'd ensure that your mit is totally clean in going into the soap bucket therefore not needing the grit guard? Maybe that's what you were saying and I confused it. Clifford Automotive
I do wheels and wells last so that I have a clean mitt through out the wash process. I only use 1 bucket. Its full to the top.
hpfiend
hmm thanks for the tips... I am going to jegs anyhow to pick something up so I will let you guys know if they have them. I was planning on using 2 buckets anyhow but I guess a 10.00 grit gaurd is cheap compared to raking rocks into my paint... btw Kevin do you have any tips on wetsanding an area of clearcoat drip? Better left to the pros?
Clifford Automotive
If you want me to take care of it Ill do it no charge.
hpfiend
kevin, that would be awesome but I would have to pay you something... the sandpaper material and time alone is worth something and I would have to do that even if I did it myself. Yeah I just have one little spot- I would like to meet you anyhow I hear you do nice work... When would be a good time?
