Made a few changes at Buschurs a couple of weeks ago.

I drove up Wednesday to the shop cause Dave wanted to try the FS635 on my car. I get there Wednesday and I swap out the turbo. We dyno'ed the car and power was up on pump gas in the 5 to 6k range, it fell a few hp short of my HTA 37r from 7500 to 8500rpm on pump gas but we had a problem with the car that we could not figure out. It was breaking up real bad over 30psi and knock count was really high.

Eitherway on with what I seen I told Dave I wanted to put the HTA37r back on the car. I need power from 7 to 9k. I dont DD the car and I could care less about mid range power.

So Thursday I swap the 37 back onto the car and the power is back up but only for 1 pull or so:confused: Dave asked me to swap the plugs, so I do that. Next pull samething:crap: Then we try a set of new wires, samething:mad: Dave then says lets unplug the HKS DLI and try it again. He makes another pull with 100% stock ignition and BAM we are back in buisness, but now I need COP. But thats OK cause I bought the DLI 2 years ago from Buschur used for $200, and I think I got my use from it!

Driving home from being at Buschurs for 3 days I got to thinking... what would have been the outcome with Buschur COP to start with and FS635? The FS635 is what David went 9.11 on in his car.

So here is what we did to the car. Buschur COP (Coil On Plug), Indy Wilson v2 manifold, Buschur 65mm t-body, and a 4in intake pipe to the turbo from a 3in. It all resulted in 665whp:eek: The Dave stopped the pull at 8500rpm and the graph was still climing :p . Before the car made 653whp at 9000rpm. The car is still on small camshafts.

I cant say thanks enough to everyone at Buschur Racing:beer: I was on vacation this week and alot of things I wanted to do around the house got cancelled, but it was well worth it. David has ALOT of time in tuning this car and Dan his brother went out of his way to make the wiring harness for the COP. BOTH OF YOU THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!

I am not changing anymore shit on this car power wise. It needs weight out of it and real tires, cause with the power I have a low 9 sec pass is possible.

I added some CF front covers to the front end to try lesson the drag on the car, so far so good!

**UPDATE**

This past weekend we rented out 42 and 9's have come at last. It did it once and I backed it up with 2 more passes after.

Lets all remember this car is drivin to the track and back home. I have a 100% stock drivetrain minus and Exedy Triple plate clutch. The transmission is a Bushwacker rebuilt with stock gears and an Evo VIII 4th gear. The engine is a Buschur Built aluminum rod 2.0L with a Buschur Stage 3 head and small cosworth cams. Stock head gasket and standard ARP head studs. The engine has 5300 miles on it since April and compression was 170 across the board the night before 42. Also the car is FULL street weight with air bags, seat belts, full interior and all. 3055lbs to be exact w/o me in it.

We are 1.4 MPH short of my goal with the car and I have an awsome feeling we will hit that goal with in the next month!

Jeff, great work you've done so far!

On the other hand my VW wasn't doing so hot. My car still had overheating symptoms on the highway after the coolant change and thermostat change from my TB service. I just bit the bullet and replaced my CTS and my Radiator so hopefully that will help..

Jeff, good work on the car. Dave will get that car to the right speed, and then your driving will net some low nines! I was there when Dave was setting the record in his silver car, and nothing short of amazing.

Good luck at norwalk ill bet you hit 9.4s or better, just a hunch if the weather is good :)
