  1. Sigh. I guess the joke isn’t funny if I have to explain it
  2. I address you tonight not as a forum sponsor, not as the driver of the coolest car on the forum, but as a citizen of CR. We are faced with the very gravest of challenges. The Bible calls this day "Armageddon" - the end of all things. And yet, for the first time in the history of internet forums, our species has the technology to prevent its own extinction. All of you praying with us need to know that everything that can be done to prevent this disaster is being called into service. The human thirst for excellence, knowledge; every step up the ladder of science; every adventurous reach into space; all of our combined modern technologies and imaginations; even the wars that we've fought have provided us the tools to wage this terrible battle. Through all of the chaos that is our history; through all of the wrongs and the discord; through all of the pain and suffering; through all of our times, there is one thing that has nourished our souls, and elevated our species above its origins, and that is our courage. The dreams of an entire forum are focused tonight on those fourteen brave souls migrating to the new Discord channel. And may we all, citizens of CR, see these events through. God speed, and good luck to you
  3. I definitely enjoy what I do and probably even would go as far as to say I "love it" on most occasions. I mean the bulk of the "work" boils down to talking to/hanging out with people and hunting deals on vehicles. Even the crappiest parts of the job (accounting, dealing with compliance, managing employees) really make me feel good once I accomplish the task at hand. Monetarily it more than provides for the family, and offers some sort of flexibility so I don't miss the entirety of my children's youth. (Although to get to this point I feel like I previously traded A LOT of hours and did miss some things) I think in any job there are moments of frustration to where anyone would temporarily think the grass might be greener on the other side. I don't often think that anymore. The only times I REALLY question whether or not I should be doing something else is when I consider the sum of my labor's contribution to society as a whole. In that matter, my impact seems minimal and I feel like I could do something "bigger".

    2020 GT500

Funny story I have a handful of vehicles that are permanent saved searches on my auction sites. I’ll set different criteria and I’ll get notifications if anything matches. Well one day last year I get notification of a couple GTRs matching some criteria I set. One of the criteria was “red light/As-Is” I set this because I was hunting one for a project car, so blown motor or bad trans would have been great. I didn’t end up bidding on them, but I found it really odd that the seller was Ford Motor Company. When I look for the reason why they are listed as-is, I see an announcement that the body and unibody had been cut and put back together on both cars. Now I’m not saying that Ford bought them and tore them apart to get notes for the 2020 GT500.. but they didn’t buy them just to help Nissans sales figures.

Expected tons of CR hate for DCT trans... not disappointed. I think it looks great. I'm also sure the car with the DCT will perform better in 99% of situations with 99.9% of drivers than any manual trans could. BUT I also don't think Mustang buyers care about the real world performance AS MUCH as they care about how fun it is to drive. This WILL be the most capable track weapon to ever wear a Mustang badge. It won't be the funnest one to drive. I'm eager to see how well it sells.
  6. Not a fan. That being said, I wasn't a fan of the GT-R in 2008 either. The evolution of the aftermarket on the car eventually made it one of my favorites though. I don't expect the same to happen with the new Supra, but it would be a pleasant surprise if I were wrong.
  7. Did you talk to one of the other guys here? Or do you mean a different dealership is giving you a hard time about the mods?
  8. Thanks for the kind words guys! I know I haven’t been on the forum much recently, but I’m trying to make a conscious effort to hop on a few times a week. None the less, I’d be happy to help and always feel free to shoot me a call or text on my cell @ 740-229-9222 Btw: congrats on the new addition to the family!
  9. If there is a "street class" for DOTs and a current registration, I'll make the drive to hurt some feelings.
  10. Bad ass car, in the best color available
  11. Thanks for the invite to LSx fest guys! Wish I would have got there earlier, but my schedule didn’t free up until 11pm last night. At which point I decided to bring a fresh build, on a break in tune and 20” street tires. Clicked off a 10.0 which I’ll take. Couldn’t add any boost without blowing the tires off. (My tires fault, not the track) Glad I got to see some of you guys. And sorry for the ones I missed from being late. Everything was awesome as always with a CR track day, and the food was also on point. My kiddo loved the wings Derek.
  12. How did I miss this post! Doc, I very much appreciate the kind words! Congrats and THANK YOU again for trusting me to locate this for you, and for making the trip to deal with me. I can’t wait to hear about the trip you are taking the Jeep on, it sounds like a blast! You are one of the great people that I have met through CR that I’m happy to consider a friend rather than a customer, so definitely keep in touch!
  13. I too have got super busy and haven’t been on here in ages. Thanks Brian for the heads up to check my little corner of CR letting me know that I missed some reviews. As always Tilley, the pleasure was mine sir. This was one of my favorite cars I’ve ever sold and you definitely deserve it bro! It’s hard to believe it’s been 5 years since you helped me out by selling me an entire office worth of furniture so we could start JET Auto. You getting the deal on the Porsche was just that good karma coming back your way. Lol
  14. I'm trying to round up a few cars to go as well.
  15. This still a thing? lol 2highpsi 8.929@159.01 1.459 60' 08/20/17 --GTR-- Turbo http://i.imgur.com/DOy6YnU.jpg

  18. So I only glanced at most of the responses (well except for the Aaron and Tilley exchange ) But anyways... Here are my 2 cents. I had originally intended on using the GTR for road racing etc. but then when I ended up going full retard on the build, I realized that taking it to Mid-O would be a BAD idea. So recently I have been considering adding another (more affordable) car that I could take to road courses, enjoy on the street, and not lose my ass on. What I think I have landed on is: 987.1 Cayman S + Stage 1 turbo kit + brake upgrade. Should be doable for around $20k ish car (higher miles) $7k ish turbo kit (with injectors tune etc) and a few grand for brakes. In the end it's a 3000lb mid engine Porsche with 400hp ish for around $30k invested. Not sure how that can be a bad decision.
  19. Thank you bro! As always, it means a lot to me when someone is willing to make that drive to deal with me. Congrats on the nice ride! These year Navigators were always my favorite for some reason. Hopefully those captains chairs keep the kids separated for ya. lol
  20. Tempted to bring up a set of slicks Decisions, decisions Thanks as always Anthony, Tina, and everyone else that helps. I'm excited!
