kristy
For my birthday I really want to go to Mammoth Cave and Im trying to decide which cave tour to do. Anyone ever gone and have suggestions? I kind of want to try the wild cave tour but it says there are lengthy crawls through places only 9 inches high and Im somewhat claustrophobic... HAOLE
I was there about a month ago. We did the discovery self guided tour because we have small children. Make sure you buy your tickets ahead of time, they do sell out.
Dave1647545494
I went there years ago they used to have a boat ride on an underground river don't know if they still do or not it was fun
Berto
I went there last weekend. I took the parents. Did the Historic Tour and the New Entrance Tour. I like them both. I did both those tours earlier in the year by myself as well.
944s2
I have two friends that did the wild cave tour and said it was amazing.... Some areas where you can literally fall and seriously hurt yourself, and yes areas where you have to army crawl to get through. They reccomended taking the oldest crappyist clothes you have thought because you will get dirty. I think they said it took 8 hours also. GonneVille
Haven't been there in years. I gotta make some time and go do the new entrance tour. BTW, make sure to take warm clothes, it is COLD down there, even in summer.

Dr. Apex
It's great down there, don't remeber what tour I took though. Like said dress decently, it stays somewhere in the 50's year round inside those caves.
HAOLE
When I was there a month ago it was 54 inside the cave. 95 out side and 54 in the cave, I froze.
GonneVille
When I was there a month ago it was 54 inside the cave. 95 out side and 54 in the cave, I froze. The nice part about that, though, is that it will be around 50* in the middle of winter, too. It stays a pretty constant mid-50s year round.
