Limitedslip7
Jesus, those bottles are supposedly good up to 2700psi. Must have been around 150F or higher to get those kind of pressures. I bet he will invest in a friggen burst valve and blow down tube now...
Guest Removed
full bottle at 150f is 1500psi! depending on temp outside, it can get over 180 inside a car! this should remind you not to leave your bottle sitting in sun light! the burst valve is what caused that! pressure built up in the trunk when it popped! the heat on the bottle made it weak, and it spilt open like a frozon pop can! just look at the bottle! its still sitting in the car. it was painted black. GonneVille
Yet another reason I don't like nitrous...I feel bad for the guy. Insurance won't cover a penny of that.

NOS50
I leave mine in the trunk in the garage closed up in the summer.I have in 2 cars since about 1990 never had any problems.I vote for leaving the warmer on accidently. http://www.saturnspeed.com/nitrousexplosion.htm My wife freaked out when I showed her this cause our house we live in now since 1998 has an attached garage.
