BlackMess
While trying to de-rice the mustang I currently bought i ran across someting that confused me. There is a monster audio circuit breaker with 2 thick gauge wires. 1 goes to the power block on the driver side fender and the other snakes all the way around to the alternator. There is a unused harness with I belive 3 wires on the back. Only thing that came to mind was maybe he upgraded the alternator but i have no idea about the circuit breaker?? Has anyone head of anything like this??
Stimmel1647545512
does the alternator have a fan on the outside of it? Does the alternator look like a big block of swiss chesse? post a pic of it up if you can sounds like you have a 3g 130 amp alternator which is a good thing

Stimmel1647545512
That is a 130 amp alternator off newer ford (i.e. SN95 5.0s taurus') its a great upgrade I am looking to do that too, the extra harness could be the old alt harness and they ran all new wires for that alternator, the stock fox alt harness doesnt work with that alternator Got any more pics of the whole car? If you need any help or need someone to come look at it feel free to PM Me.
Guest Removed
its done right. the break is to keep the alt from firing the car if it shorts out
