Well, personally I would probably cut the C-clips out so I could remove the axles and take the diff out with the pin still in, and then you could always tap and remove the old pin-locker.. I would imagine that might make it a bit easier to deal with?

 

I don't know how expensive those C-clips might be, but sure as hell beats cutting axles or drilling the pin itself.

 

so you suggest cutting the c-clips out? and just how would you do that? remove the rearend?

 

No sir, I changed my buddies drivers side axle seal.. luckily I didn't have to deal with a broken pin-lock.

 

hence why i asked , why you where posting here?

 

when you do come across it, try cutting the c-clips out for me and tell me how that worked out for you :rolleyes:
