The Hypocrisy is even too much for me.

1099.99 USD

99,989 miles

It actually runs, but needs apex seals or a flux capacitor.

Lets clear this up. I purchased this vehicle about 5 monthes ago for the purpose of swapping in "another" drivetrain, decided against this plan. This thing does start up and run, not all that well mind you, but it runs and drives. I believe that somehow, the indestructible Rotary engine has blown out an US sourced apex seal.

Little vid of startup this morning:

How hard is this swap?

If he is giving this car away for a G it will be about the 5k range if you can manage most of the work yourself. Motor and trans is gonna cost the most out of it all. There are some pretty cheap sub frame kits out there also.

If your looking for a project id say this car is a good place to start, you can always add on more power. Plus the power to weight is awsome!

Its pretty simple you can but a harness already put together almost

Hell its a turbo 2 already, good rear end its got a 5 lug for mustang wheels already.

Body seems mint.

They go for way more than this almost anywhere.

This would be rad car with a LS1 Auto trans w/slicks

Fc's cost less than fd's

If you do the work yourself there are 100's literally on v8rx7 forums that people do ls1 swaps themselves for that amount or even cheaper.

Free labor is worth more than 80+bucks an hour.

3 grand for a ls1 with tranny? i never ran across one that was that cheap. 4500 is more of a reasonable price for a 02 engine and tranny. Than you have to figure in the sub frame cost and wiring it up, plus a custom drive shaft. If you go with an older LS1 than you can cut costs down. But the benefits of the 02 are worth it.

shanton both your examples are cars with something already done to them....heres the real break down in just parts...

fc-1k

motor/trans-3-4k

mounts 1k

cooling system 500(and thats for bare minumum.

exhaust-200 (*bare minimum)

fuel pump 100

clutch hydros 400

there are alot of little things you are not taking into consideration...for the most bare minimum and if cheating alot of corners....6k-7k. BARE MINIMUM

in my (limited) experience, doing the swap with an auto is way cheaper because they are much more abundant and there's less demand. The T-56's aren't super easy to come by and a ton of people want them for all kinds of cars.
