Supplicium
Im looking to connect 5 hardwired connections to a device that can connect to a wireless AP. Would a Linksys WRT110 work? I believe what I need is a switch that has a wireless module that can connect via wireless via ad-hoc to a wireless AP and still recieve DHCP and DNS to all the wired connections. GRN96WS6
Your post is a little confusing. Are you trying to connect 5 hardwired devices wirelessly? You know you can get a wireless router with 5 ports in it and solve the problem?

I know that, i dont think a wireless router can connect to another wirless router to get to the WAN. this is my setup: 1st floor: cable modem wireless AP router combo with built in switch 2nd floor: 5 devices that dont have wireless. I am trying to connect those to a device that will connect to the wireless AP on the first floor.

Alot of the newer wireless routers can be put into "wireless bridge mode" Or flash a qualified linksys w/ DD-WRT ect. That is what you are looking for.
