Blu-ray people, i need info.

my brother's birthday is coming up, i was thinking since the blu-ray players, and discs have come down some, i might as well hook him up with one. was looking at the samsung bd-p1500, on sale at best buy for $249. anyone have one, how is it? what should i be looking for? i know it is a basic model, but it is a gift. anyone work at best buy and want to help me out with a discount that would be perfect. i can put money in your pocket if it helps.

I don't have that model but I do have a Sony BDP-S350. I picked it up for $199 at Micro Center a couple of weeks ago. It works well.
