Once again, you guys are mixing up the words FLAT and MATTE just like Kevin said before.

 

MATTE you will be able to take care of in the same way as regular clear coat. It is still clearcoated and protects in a similar fashion.

 

FLAT is a can of primer, and no, you cannot take care of it properly.

I talked with my brother and Basf now has a flat clear specifically made for matte finishes to give that murdered out look. I can get a firm price but figure around 160 a gallon in the R-M line and around $225 a gallon in the Glasruit line.

i know amg has some crazy nice matte silver they do on custom sl's. i seen it on tv once. actually i think it was on american chopper they went over ther for their tour and saw it. i think it was was a sl65 amg. looks nothing like u would think of a flat/ matte silver
