Sig is a cartridge for an autoloader (They might make a moon clipped revolver?), and the magnum is a straight walled revolver cartridge (Save for maybe the .357mag desert eagle). The magnums gonna have more wallop to it, though, after sticking my foot in my mouth with my first comment (sorry) and actually pulling out my Ammo & Ballistics book, the Sig and Magnum are much closer than I previously thought.
