I love my wife, and I love my truck, but one is trying to push the other out...:)

Looking for a trade (since this economy sucks to the point that I probably won't get $3000 for it)...

1982 Chevrolet Silverado C20 (3/4Ton) - 2WD, TH400 3spd auto, 6.2L DIESEL!!!

Good:

*Excellent condition for it's age - ex-L.A. truck, bought on eBay Feb 2007.

*46k original miles (bought it w/ 34k miles on it)

*Fully loaded, and everything works (PW, PL)

*A/C professionally converted to R-134 in 04/07 (have all receipts) - blows ice cold

*20" Weld Forged aluminum wheels with GoodYear Wrangler AT-S - 5k miles on tires

*Electric brake thingy for trailer, beefy steel bumper w/ hitch welded to frame - built to haul!

Bad:

*Interior is complete, but dash cracked, door panels faded from sun exposure in CA, FL.

*Small spots of rust at bottom of door edge, cab corners

*Slow/No start in cold weather

*No radio

In the past couple of months, it won't start in cold weather. It will crank, but the starter is not cranking fast enough to get the engine to catch - needs a jump. Replaced both batteries (2 900CCA Walmart MAXX) and starter cable...may need a new/rebuilt starter, or better batteries (WalMart makes shit batteries). Because of this cold start issue, my wife is fed up with it, and realistically I don't use the bed as much as I should.

FEELER FOR TRADE? Looking for SUV or extended-cab truck. Manual transmission a plus, as would be 4WD/AWD.

That's a super nice truck. Just put it off until spring, Diesel's hate cold and being a 2wd it's not like you can use it now anyway. Once spring comes around and it starts up fine just tell her it's fixed and no reason to sell it.
