1fast5gp
I am picking up a case of ammo for my AR15s and have found 2 pretty good deals. Vances has PMC .223 ammo for 379.99 per case 1000 Wallyworld has Federal FMJ .223 for 399.90 per case or 1000 Both are 55 grain and brass. Should I just go with the cheaper PMC? or is the Federal worth the extra 20 bucks.
Putty
That's not a deal. A friend paid $299 per 1000 at the gunshow. Wolf.

KillJoy
I would not run wolf through MY AR. I have never had bad luck w/ the Federal Bulk. That being said, I have no experience with the PMC. KillJoy

1fast5gp
I won't shoot steel through my AR or any guns I own. So brown bear, wolf are all out of the question.
copperhead
So long as its factory new and non corrosive, brass cased ammo is brass cased ammo. Plinking ammo is all the same, no reason to spend more unless you are trying to be super accurate at long range.
ohmr95b
You may want to look at some Privi Partizan if you can find it. I found some at the Vet's show before last for $339/1000 inc tax. It is loaded to true M193 spec and it brass cased. The red lacquer on the primers is also nice for waterproofing but it makes cleaning a little more difficult. copperhead
Those are Steel Cases. :thumbdown KillJoy EXACT same shit you would buy from Vance's.
LJ
http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/223.html Just a tip, if you are going to shoot steel cased ammo, make sure you shoot polymer coated and not lacquered. The lacquered cases will gum up your chamber.
HAOLE
The only gun I would put wolf through is a Raven .25acp
Dave1647545494
ammo is ammo if it fits in the gun and you clean it every time you shoot should have no problems. that said I had some lake city surplus for my .30 carbine I had a couple of jams from it about 3000 rounds in but that was one day and no cleanup
Rayman
Vance's have american eagle for $349 on Friday. 1000 rounds, brass. Not too bad. Edited February 7, 2009 by Rayman I meant Friday
