Guest 614Streets
Today I had a tree removed that I was quoted $3700 to have removed it is huge (actually three trees in one). I live downtown in Merion Village and now by getting rid of this huge tree I am hoping when appraisal time comes around property value will not jump around much. I was wondering from an appraisal point of view how big nasty trees near houses downtown effect property value.
Nitrousbird
I'd say in this market, it will make no difference. No one in this market cares what an appraiser says a house is worth; they care more about what the other homes in the area are going for, and how good of a deal they can get. I just don't want a higher app for tax reasons.
Nitrousbird
They won't raise it, but they also refuse to lower the appraisals as well (of course, they want to keep those taxes up!).
Chad is Dead
Ya it shouldn't change at all.
