DaddyBuiltRacing
The car: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/JoshIntegra1.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/JoshIntegra4.jpg Dec/26th/2008: I trade away my G22 powered EJ1 for this 94 DB8 straight up. The GSR is clean and virgin!! I put 1000 miles on it before even thinking about modding it just to make sure no little bugs pop up. Jan/23rd/09: The building bug strikes!! I acquire my old CRX in a deal. I am to pull the motor and put it into an Integra and he gets to keep the turbo kit. In return I get to keep my old crx. After thinking about it for a while I decide to scrap that car and use the money and remaining parts for my DB8. Here are some parts off the CRX that will be going on the Integra. Jan/31st/08: Today we got a little break in the weather finally. I had some suspension parts lined up in Cincy so it was time for a little road trip. 2 1/2 hours later I purchased this: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/suspension.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/suspension2.jpg For those that don't know what your looking at its Ground Control Coilovers, Koni Yellows and Skunk 2 Upper Control Arms
DaddyBuiltRacing
Feb/13th/09: Realizing that the look of steelies on my car was making it look like shit, I decided to do something about it. I had a set of Integra Meshies laying around that were in need of tires desperately, so next step is to get tires. I decided to wrap them in Falkens. I think they make the car look alot better. It also makes me realize that its time to drop it http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/teg.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/teg2.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/teg3.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/teg4.jpg Feb/16th/09: A buddy of mine has a set of brand new in the box Wicked Turning rear toe adjusters laying around going to waste. I pick these up to help finish my suspension setup. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/toe3.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/toe2.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/toe.jpg
DaddyBuiltRacing
2/17/09: A deal pops up that I cannot refuse. I pick up a set of Pauter connecting rods for a hell of a deal. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/pauterrods2wf2.jpg 2/20/09: Today I stumble upon another great deal that I could not pass up. I found a set of 85mm CP pistons with a 9:1 compression ratio http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/cps.jpg

DaddyBuiltRacing
Yeah figured I would put it here where it belongs and just do a build thread. You can delete the other one though if you want. Thanks
DaddyBuiltRacing
3/13/09: Today I find a deal on pistons that better suit my needs. After some researching the 85mm pistons I had originally purchased just weren't right for me and my needs. ERL had a crackhead spring cleaning sale and had a set of 84mm 9:1 CP pistons on sale for a price I could not resist. 3/16/09: Realizing that my stock motor mounts are on their way out due to busted bushings and finding a good deal on a replacement set, I quickly pick a set up. I call Brian at swapshopracing.com out in California to see what kind of deal he will give me. Being a pretty good customer lands you baller deals lol. I went with Innovatives 85a bushing and gold anodized coloring to give the engine bay that little Bling. These will be here in a couple weeks. DaddyBuiltRacing
3/19/09:Today the man in brown makes another appearance!! My CP pistons arrived that I ordered from ERL in Indiana. I basically have everything needed for my bottom end now except for a donor block. Time to source one!!
DaddyBuiltRacing
3/25/09: Today I pick up my donor motor. I found a GSR motor locally for $500 bucks. Already got it disassembled today, found out that I need another crank because this one has been destroyed by a chewed up bearing. Already found another crank though!! http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/block2.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/block.jpg Motor is set to be shipped to LaskeyRacing in California next week if everything goes accordingly. It will take 4-6 weeks for the short block to be shipped back to me, but well worth the wait.
neonkiller
Why send the motor out to cali?.. why not M&h in deleware?..
DaddyBuiltRacing
Why send the motor out to cali?.. why not M&h in deleware?.. Laskey is notorious in the Honda world, not to mention Benson sleeve are baller. Plus I dont have enough faith in local shops to deal with them. Too many bad expierences and I have seen too many bad motors come from local machine shops. Not saying M&H is one of them, but no local shop can do what is being done to my motor for the price Laskey quoted me at.
DaddyBuiltRacing
Just thought I would toss in a couple pics of my mounts since they arrived: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/mount2.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/mount.jpg

DaddyBuiltRacing
Alex: We will definitley need to snap a couple new shots. Maybe go back to where we took the first ones to take a current shot. Bentley: Yeah it was like old times almost having people come out, now if we can just get more to do so. Me and Tolliver should be a good run because we are about the same weight, Del Sols are heavy bastards for their size. I am hoping to have motor build done by mid May. Just2sweet: Yeah it looks even better now. I raised the ass end up some so its not so dumped looking.

DaddyBuiltRacing
5/5/09: The stock oil pan is replaced with a Moroso. The advantage of the moroso is it is pretapped for turbo and has a oil temperature bung already. Also it sits higher then the stock pan so this will help avoid bottoming out on the pan. 5/9/09: Today is a great day!! I finally get around to shipping my block off to Laskey Racing in California to have it built. Included in the build will be Benson Sleeves, Polished crank, balanced and blue printed to 11k rpms, type R oil pump, bearings, ARP main studs, and all bottom end gaskets. Should be back in 4-6 weeks
