DaddyBuiltRacing
12/9/09: Yet another batch of OEM bolts has arrived lol. Believe it or not I had less then $3 bucks in this go around. These are the bolts for my water pump. After picking those up I came home and bolted the pump on, then went to autozone and picked up a Bosch oil filter. Might get around to putting my timing belt on tonight, depending on how motivated I feel. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/100_2086.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/100_2087.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/100_2088.jpg Hopefully i'll have another update tomorrow but there might not be another one til this weekend when I buy something big hehe

I got a Benen fuel rail and a Go-Autowrks vacuum manifold. The fuel rail is gold, but will be going to powder coater to be color matched to my valve cover. The vacuum manifold is black and will be hidden under my wiper cowl I believe
DaddyBuiltRacing
12/26/09: Its time to start building a transmission!!! I picked up a GSR transmission tonight that has a bad 3rd gear slider. I am going to pick up another transmission later this month from another friend that has a LSD in it. Going to combine the 2 along with some other goodies and have 1 nice transmission lol. I'll post pics up tomorrow once daylight shows its face again
DaddyBuiltRacing
12/27/09: Today I put the Benen Industries fuel rail on the motor just for mock up. It will be going to the powder coater in the coming weeks. I also sprayed the transmission that I picked up yesterday down with some oven cleaner, let it soak for a while and then hosed it down. Pictures don't really do it any justice. Oh yeah tossed in a picture of the Go-Autoworks vacuum manifold as well. Comebackkid
Man the builds looking great..But i might have to go buy another intake lol 4 of my buddys have that same one lol
DaddyBuiltRacing
haha its the best intake on th market for the price. I damn near bought the AIR Carbon Fiber intake til I called Endyn and they informed me they quit selling them due to them seperating at the runners. 1600 for a manifold that could potentially break doesnt seem like a part for me lol
Ef8sirJunkie
The Benen rail came with a barb fitting? wtf is that BS. you swapping it to a -8 or -10? did they supply you with a 1/8npt fitting to block the FPR hole? i might have 1 laying around if you need it. DaddyBuiltRacing
Yeah I am going to switch it to an AN fitting. DaddyBuiltRacing
1/4/10: Starting the new decade off with powder coated goodies!! I dropped these off before xmas, but with the holidays just now got them back, no big deal. I am happy with how they turned out. Got the following parts done: Thermostat Housing (Silver) Water Tube (Black) Strut Forks (Black) http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/100_2261.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/100_2260.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/100_2262.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/100_2263.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/100_2251.jpg
DaddyBuiltRacing
1/5/10: Placed another order with local Honda dealer today. Just picking up stupid little odds and ends to finally wrap up the motor. Ordered thermostat and all the bolts to bolt it together and to the block. For anyone wondering why I am using oem Honda bolts, its because 1. They are the correct size, 2. They are brand new and 3. They are pennies on the dollar lol
DaddyBuiltRacing
1/6/10: Buddy of mine had an extra knock sensor laying around, I asked if he wanted to get rid of it. Sure enough he did, got it with the plug for free!! DaddyBuiltRacing
You know whats funny is I am getting alot of hate on other forums for having parts powder coated?!! I can't believe it, people bitch when cars are "ricey", now they are bitching cause its too clean lmfao Forgot to post this update the other night: 1/7/10: Order from Honda came in today. Its nothing major, but one of the little things that I feel better getting out of the way now. Thermostat and Bolts: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/100_2267.jpg Thermostat installed: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/100_2268.jpg Thermostat housing bolted together: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/100_2269.jpg Thermostat housing and water tube bolted to block: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/100_2270.jpg
boosted98gst
People will always find something wrong with something. My last car a guy never one time told me I did a great job with detail, he said " Why would I have my engine bay painted so nice when its gets all oily" Fucking haters. On this other site im on, someone was picking on me because I bought name brand parts and how they would of done things different? I ended up checking out this guys car it was the biggest POS hack job ever, he was sho cheap he re'used someone else's old timing belt. DaddyBuiltRacing
Yeah people suck is what I have gathered over the years. I was catching shit by someone because I am using a autozone tensioner instead of an "oem" one. They must not realize that Honda doesn't actually make their own fucking parts. They have sister companies that make everything for them down to the spark plug wires that come on factory cars lol.
