Wonderboy
So a guy from work offered me a world class T5 and clutch for $100. Its off of a Turbo Coupe, I already have a T5 bellhousing for a 302. He said the clutch is 10.5" and I need to know if the Turbo Coupe clutch will work with a 302. Neither of us were sure. Thanks for any input. Sorry if I worded this in a confusing manner.
Guest Removed
turbo coupe clutch might work, but the trans will work with a 5.0.. i have had several 4 banger trans behind 5.0's so i know that will work. and its worth the 100 just for the trans

Do the mustangs and Turbo Coupes use "pull" or "push" style pressure plates. I read somewhere that they were "pull" style. Not that it matters, Im just curious. How else could I find out if the clutch will work? I know its a good price even if I can only use the tranny but, Im on a TIGHT budget for this build and Id love to get more for my monies. And while Ive got your attention. How much will a good running condition carburated 302 cost typically. I need to know how much to start saving. Dave1647545494
the clutch will not work its way too small the clutch is a push type you will need a v-8 style bell and clutch fork you can buy an explorer drop out for around 600 and then sell the efi manifold off it to offset the cost of a carb and manifold
Guest Removed
how is the clutch to small dave? if its a 10.5" clutch it sounds like a king cobra clutch, which will bolt right onto a 5.0 flywheel and i dont think its a turbo coupe clutch. 10.5 is way to big to fit a turbo 4 flywheel. rl
You also need to swap input shafts or pilot bearings, the pilot area on the input for the 4 cylinder T5 is smaller in diameter than the 5.0's.
