slow1647545513 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Share Posted April 10, 2009 yeah he told me if i went 9's 1 time i was getting kicked out.. i thought in my head all the ips vettes and shit going fast but i cant i have a cert. cage jacket helmet all that shit window net.... its bullshit i dumped the car 3 times on the big end... best pass was a 10.02 at 143 i believe... i bet that guy was ready to throw me out..lol i cant get any traction. it needs to be warmer out... You talking about the younger guy at the turn off? Eh, they threatened to kick me out...I ran 10.76,They told me I needed a fire jacket the next run I ran a botched 10.88, they yelled at me about the fire jacket. The next time I pulled up to the tree....They stopped me and told me I couldn't run until I had a fire jacket. dover Posted April 10, 2009 Report Share Posted April 10, 2009 that guy threaten to kick out Garrett for not having a cage and he ran a 11.8x, according to NHRA rules you don't need a cage A roll bar is required in any convertible running 13.49 seconds or quicker in the quarter mile, and in other cars beginning at 11.49. The roll bar is accepted in vehicles running as quick as 10.00 second e.t., provided the stock firewall and floorboard is intact, other than for installation of wheel tubs. The rollbar must be constructed of minimum 1 ¾ inch o.d. x .118 inch wall mild steel tubing, or 1 ¾ x .083 chrome moly tubing. And a Full cage isn't required till an E.T. of 9.99 or Trap of 135mph.
