Science Abuse
And they will apparently not fuck around with their choice of rifle.
Scotty2Hotty
Most deffinately they didn't use a Barrett M107, but never the less they have some talented shooters. (That guy's no SEAL, he's a bit too clean cut and not in BDU's)
coltboostin
Nice! And I though getting "expert" was tuff.
MrMeanGreen
Actually, they did use the M107. It was on CNN.
spankis
Actually, they did use the M107. It was on CNN. I thought it was accurate. I mean the picture has some ocean in it, and this guy's not just on some cruise.
Scotty2Hotty
Actually, they did use the M107. It was on CNN. Wouldn't be my choice, but it does penetrate. For that distance of a shot I would've gone with a smaller cartridge. Those fuckers didn't have a face or backside of their head after using an M107 with API ammo. CNN also needs to practice some OPSEC (Operational Security)
MrMeanGreen
I want one, but they're $47k
Draco-REX
I want one, but they're $47k The 82A1 is essentially a civilian M107 and it's $9k. Then there's the 98 Bravo. That gun's just dead sexy. Not a .50, but I'm sure a .338 Lapua is just about as satisfying on any soft target.

Scotty2Hotty
I want one, but they're $47k Negative Ghostrider. http://www.gunsamerica.com/999741405/Guns/Rifles/Barrett-Rifles/BARRETT_50_BMG_82A1.htm With an AN/PAS-13, I could see that coming close to the $30K-$40K range. Guest Hal
I figured they would use the M107 to penetrate the lifeboat. I can't imagine being that captain when the shots were taken.

Nate1647545505
Not very much correction at xx yards (15,25?). Why any civilian wants a .50 is beyond me, great flying bricks.

RedRocket1647545505
Not very much correction at xx yards (15,25?). Why any civilian wants a .50 is beyond me, great flying bricks. I think it's mostly just the prestige of it. Personally, I feel there's much better rounds out there with much better ballistics. But, I wouldn't scratch a .50 off my 'want list' or anything.
