Twistedrx7
Well, rebuilt the engine and decided to upgrade a lot of things. I replaced the rotor bearings and stationary gear bearings, the oil pump, new RA seals, solid corner seals, and full bridge port. Got a present in the Mail today. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c168/twistedrx7/CIMG3076.jpg Pictures of the engine and ports coming shortly. Smokey
you've perked my interest. Who did the port work and built the motor? Who's going to tune it? What ECU did you decide on finally?

Twistedrx7
if your going for such big hp goals ect why cheap out on the clutch? How so? the tq rating is around 577ft lbs. I believe that should be fine for now. I will upgrade to a twin disc in due time. you've perked my interest. Who did the port work and built the motor? Who's going to tune it? What ECU did you decide on finally? Xavier did the port work. He also built the motor. The ecu is the TEC3r all wired up and installed in the car. The car was tuned before on a baby bridgeport. There was too much chatter over the ports and it flattened the seals, The compression was leaking out a little bit. So tore it down and had Xavier do the porting and all should be good. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c168/twistedrx7/CIMG3083.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c168/twistedrx7/CIMG3084.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c168/twistedrx7/CIMG3085.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c168/twistedrx7/CIMG3086.jpg I should have the car up and running this weekend. Just sealed up the Oil pan tonight. I put on the LIM, Primary + Secondary Inj, and Power steering. boosted98gst
ive always had issues with ACT blocking or locking out going in gear at high rpm, I went to a twin disk and it was great, and a much better pedal feel.
Twistedrx7
nothing like taking out the clutch fork to replace the TO bearing and putting the engine in. Then when tightening the tranny bolts seeing the spring for the clutch fork infront of you....pictures coming soon.

Twistedrx7
engine is back in the car now, everything is on except a few things. I should have it running this weekend on stock twins. Turbo fell through so i am looking at the S372 single turbo. Brap brap!
Twistedrx7
Idle stuck at 2500 and the downpipe isnt connected fully to the midpipe. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c168/twistedrx7/th_0502091839.jpg Little oil from premixing http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c168/twistedrx7/th_0502091849.jpg

Smokey
so why's the idle stuck? Does the Tec3 control the OMP or are you disabling it and premixing all the time?
Mojoe
I can't answer for him, but rotary's should be running premix all the time. Glad it's running Jake.
Twistedrx7
true a rotary should premix even if the OMP is hooked up. The OMP is known to fail on the car for some reason. It is usually the electrical portion of it and not the mechanical. The Tec3r cannot control the OMP so i just premix. I Also have the weber jets and an oil pressure regulator that puts out more than stock. The Front eccentric shaft has a plug instead of ball and spring. I also prefer to run 20w-50. If you run 5 or 10 it is usually a little low and it shows in your oil pressure. i believe the idle is being retarded because of the TPS. I need to look at my map and see what is going on, or just turn the tps voltage down manually. We will see on wednesday or so when my slave cylinder comes in.
