Flyin Miata
I guess having your own lot is slightly better than the street, but probably not much. That's what I thought until my car got broken in while parked behind my old house on Frambes. It's only visible if you're in that alley between Lane and Frambes so the thieves have less chance of being seen. They smashed my window in but couldn't get the CD player (superglue FTW) so they just took my knife and bolted, but they did get my roommates subs and amp from his Explorer. At least having your car on the street makes it a little more visible, more chance of having a cop or a witness see the crime take place. At my new place my car is parked right off a busy alleyway (if you're off campus you probably know) and so far no problems. Then again the CD player is like 10 years old and I have nothing else of value in the car either .
