smokin5s
I just replaced the muffler on my 1998 Blazer and upon replacing it, I noticed that the exhaust where the cat bolts up to the muffler had a SHITTY weld job and it came loose.... I had enough pipe to put a pipe clamp on it (temporary) and when doing the test drive the Check engine light come on. I scanned it and it came up with P0446. would this be because exhaust is now "bypassing" part of the muffler? (the clamp has already wiggled loose) if not, what in the world is causing this? Thanks! CRed05
Did you put gas in recently? Sounds like the gas cap is not on tight.
smokin5s
that's what I'm seeing from googling... gas cap or the actual vent valve which is 35 dollars.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
nurkvinny
Did any of the exhaust fall onto any of the evap tubing? Any of this? http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a187/swartlkk/2004%20Rainier/GMT360%20Tank/GMT360_tank_2of6.gif
smokin5s
no idea man... we were in a pretty tight space when we were yanking the old exhaust off, so it wouldn't surprise me.
