Draco-REX
..just because it's really the only motorsport that makes me stare in wonder with my jaw dropped like I'm a kid again. Pro rally through the years, and some of the greatest drivers ever to put foot to pedal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDJYJW5MKYY And yes, minis were THE SHIT back in the day. A great highlight vid (despite the emo music) The "OiOiOi Vid" (pay attention to the crash at 0:47) That's the navigator.. hanging upside down.. checking his notes. Some say the navigators are crazier than the drivers. I believe it. Group B, a.k.a. The Killer-Bs. Present day WRC cars are as fast, but these have nearly twice the horsepower and half the suspension tech. (and pure ear-sex) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quDX36WJM7k&feature=related A driver was once asked how he could drive so fast with so many people in the way. And to paraphrase his answer, he said: "Those are bushes, not people. If I let myself see them as people, I could never drive like I do." One of the best at driving a rally car sideways: Gigi Galli. Professional Drifters, and drivers of EVERY motorsport should stand up and take notice. THIS is car control. Ever want to ride along? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xev0G9ZACpA&feature=related And yes, that's a FORD Escort. One of the many cool cars our own Big 3 would rather sell overseas than to us. Another in-car. A relaxing drive through the Welsh countryside. So many vids, so much awesomeness.
Rally Pat
I'm named after some rally driver, although I don't know who. Wish I could rip some of my dad's old videos....
Crossle
Love the sport, could not imagine ever doing it. I agree, some of the most talented drivers out there hands down. They do things in an ever changing environment as well at the same level, where as other forms of racing are more predictable.
SPLN SUX
Those Navigators are fearless... they sit in that seat, knowing they are blowing down a road entirely too narrow to be doing 100mph on, and they just stare at that paper and read it.
