hpfiend Posted June 30, 2009 Author Report Share Posted June 30, 2009 Killing groundhogs so I guess somewhere in the middle- only requirement is that it can shoot cci stinger ammunition and I believe they all can as that seems to work very well. As far as price... well- I can get new ruger/savage/remington semis and bolts at Dicks for 149.99- 199.99 some with scopes so somewhere below that. I have been borrowing my dad's stainless Marlin 995 semi-auto with a cheap 3x9 scope from Andersons which is a sweet setup and he doesn't mind but it is inconvenient to go get it all the time. I realize 149-199 isn't that much for a quality name-brand rifle but it is very low purchase priority that I get one so I figured I would throw this out there. A digital SLR for the new baby, college savings, autox costs with the corvette, and numerous other things outweigh this purchase and the rifle is backup to the have-a-heart and conibear traps I have set.
