Identify Ammo help

Recommended Posts

So my dad bought me this ammo and magazines at a yard sale. He though I could use them. I am not sure what it is for but the magazines look like they would fit a carbine rifle. Both magazines feel full. The only thing on the bottom of the bullet is L C 52.

Any ideas what this is worth or what guns use this?

Only thing I could find was this. http://www.odcmp.org/1101/USGI.pdf

Looks like it might be Military Surplus 30-06 ammo. Does not look like it in the pic tho.

Or .30 chinese corrosive knock off ammo. From what I read chinese copied even the headstamp when making these rounds. But it was corrosive.

your more than welcome to run it through my carbine

its lake city 1952 surplus steel jacket stuff

they won't let you shoot it indoors anywhere, but I think I'm off to bainberry here in a couple weeks if you want to try it out

What and where is bainberry?

if your looking to sell it i think there was a guy looking for some .30 carbine ammo on swapgiant week or so ago..... not sure how many rds you have but its an option if you want to not have it laying around

I don't even know what it is worth but it could be an option.

is it loose ammo, on stripper clips, or all pre loaded in those 15 shot mags?

both of those mags are full I pulled them out to look at them but put them back in. It isn't on a clip.
