clutch cable adjustment problems

we just put in a rebuilt trans with new clutch and flywheel in my buddys 94 cobra. he has a jegs clutch cable kit with quadrant. just to get the clutch to work we have to put a vast amount of spacers on the clutch cable on the fork to get it to work. but its still not perfect. anyone have any troubles with these? had the same problem with stock cable and fire wall adjuster. the fork only goes in one way right?

you need a double hook quad, and a stock replacement cable. the adjustable cable's stretch.

cheap quads like the jegs one, only have 1 hook. geta steeda one from jegs, it has 2 hook's..

are you not using the fire wall adjuster? you should only have to adjust it from that!

we got the firewall adjuster on after taking off the tabs. it works now but the adjuster is almost all the way out. with the double hook quadrant does that mean there is two positions two adjust it?

no, the double hook is for the stock cable..it will use the hook closer to the firewall..

with that adjustable cable, turn the fire wall adjuster in, most of the way..adjust the cable, then play with the firewall adjuster.

do you have the quad on the pin on the pedal correctly?

or just drive it over here.
