jeffro
so my dad recently purchased a 1991 eagle talon tsi and the guy that owned it before said he took one of the fins out of the mass air meter. so now when you first start it up its idle goes high and low, high low, high low and sounds really dumb. he claimed that it was a performance mod but who knows. anyone have any idea how i can fix this? Guest Removed
check for vacuum leak, and make sure coolant is full. hondas have a valve on the intake that make them do this aswell.. but i always block them off, and it has 1 idle all the time. maybe this has one as well

1qwk767
does the idle surge until it warms up? if so try replacing the coolant temp sensor and that should fix the problem
