craig71188 Posted August 31, 2009 Report Share Posted August 31, 2009 I've used Hylomar on and off for years. Primarily for gearboxes that had to come apart often for gear changes. It stays "gel-like" so you can disassemble and reassemble parts without destroying gaskets. Can also be used instead of a gasket on matched machined surfaces. Lab environment, will be going back and fourth between room temp and 4C, 50/50 water and glycol. Its the "impervious to glycol" part that got my attention. Its the "impervious to glycol" part that got my attention. lol..its good stuff..it might just pass your test tho same company makes alot of transmission bonding stuff for the oe's. like toyobond, and hondabond, and yamabond or what ever wacky name that sealer gets. good stuff really.
