Akula
I am looking for a broad range Spectrum Analyzer, I will need to be able to read interference for all 900MHZ, 2.5GHZ and 5.8GHZ channels. Anyone have experience with this or have on? Just looking for suggestions.
BiG BeN
I used to test wireless (PCS/Cellular) installations regularly. And in the process I could identify interference. During that procedure I used a network analyzer that would display the spectrum, but also has TDR functionality. I mainly looked at a loaded system that would isolate the cabling from the outside world so interference was rare. i could see it alot when looking at a system with an antenna on it though. Interference at 900mhz is almost always paging transmitters, but those are all but gone anymore. I don't know what goes on at 2.5ghz and 5.8ghz is usually microwave. Akula
Yeah, Pager towers mess with 900. 2.4 and 5.8 are wifi (802.11b/g and 802.11a), baby monitors, bluetooth..... I just need to be able to look at the air at a given site and say "900 MHZ will work here" or "looks like something is interfering".
