zeitgeist57
My -82 Silverado developed a really ugly flywheel rattle. Whoever serviced this puppy before me cross-threaded the 3 bolts into the torque converter, and they started backing themselves. After a couple of tightenings, a bolt broke. Fuck. I need to drop the tranny now...do I need a whole new converter? Can I successfully drill out the old bolts and get new ones? Rob...any prices on this jobby? KillJoy
I was very happy with Circle D in Texas with the TC in the Marauder. If you are not wanting a performance TC, they are probably not what you are wanting though.... KillJoy
zeitgeist57
I'm thinking I may need a diesel TC, with a really low stall speed. It's a 6.2L diesel, TH400 3spd automatic, 2WD. Not sure about the 14-bolt open diff rear end (wanna say it's a 3.73?)
