thorne
I've got 2 adult ball pythons. 1 male 1 female. They currently live in a 20 tall but I feel they need a larger tank. The snakes have handled and eat well. The male will eat frozen but the female will not. The male is ether a year or 2 old I can't remember if it was last year I got him or the year before. The female I'm not sure the age I got her from my sister. They do not come with the 20 tall tank. But they do come with the 20 tall lid with the bulb I've used. They also have a water dish. I would like to see 80$ for the pair along with there dish and lid. http://www.40roll.com/snake/IMG_0393.jpg http://www.40roll.com/snake/100_0887.JPG http://www.40roll.com/snake/ has more pictures I've got a tank of unknown size. I had bought it for 100$ to make there new home out of. The issue I ran into was no where to keep the tank. I'm not sure the gallon size. the Dimensions are . 48x18x21. I would like to get 70$ out of the tank. http://www.40roll.com/snake/IMG_0267.JPG I would sell everything for 130. As always Cash talks. Benner
Looks to be about a 35 gallon tank. Good luck with the sale. I wouldn't mind having a python but not while I live at home. My mom would kill me or have a heart attack if they ever got loose. Good luck finding them a new home.
thorne
I do like them I just don't have space to allocate . I was not sure the tank size I just picked it up because it was cheaper then anything else I had priced out.
Guest tbutera2112
that tank is plenty big when we bought our ball python, they told us that the snakes need a smaller tank to feel more secure or something, that a tank too large for them will stress them out the tank you have for sale is a little on the large side, but it should work fine...i wouldnt suggest anything bigger though
thorne
I had no plans of going bigger from that spot. I had planned a pretty cool setup but I just can't figure ut where to put the tank. I do the 20 is to small as I can't fit 2 hides in there. Drewhop
I would measure that aquarium again. 8 Inch width does not seem right. 48x12x21 is basic dimensions for a 55 gallon which is what it looks like. I have a friend that has about 20 snakes I will call him and see if he knows anyone who wants them. I just rescued a Dumerils Boa that I am nursing back to health or I would take them in a heartbeat. Like Tyler said 40 Gallon breeder tank is all the larger of a tank you need for two ball pythons.

I've always utilized the largest tank for any specie of animal I've owned that was available and that I had room for. In providing a proper in-tank enviroment, you fulfill all the animals needs including cover. Just because the animal isn't moving when you're looking at it, I can guarantee it's ticking off the miles at some point and a small enclosure can actually contribute to the animal's stress. You always base tank size on what you can afford and, obviously, have the room for. If that's still too small for the animal you want, you need a new animal or you do what Thorne's doing. This is an educated decision from studied curriculum, gobs of experience with mulitiple species and having even managed a pet store, as well. After rereading this, let me just say this wasn't directed at you, Tyler. I just wanted to clear that up. I find I disagree with much of what pet store people say.
