Clifford Automotive
Compressor needs the high side rebuilt. I rebuilt the lowside a couple years ago thinking thats the side that needed done. I was wrong. I never bothered to get the high side and do it. Compressor does work up to the point where it needs to build high pressure. I've been using it as a resevior only for the years Ive been in my shop, as I have an 80gal IR. This is 240 volts. The high side rebuild kit can be ordered through sears.com for around 30 bucks. 75 bucks takes it. I dont want to move it.
TimTaylor751647545500
What exactly are you referring to when talking about the "high side"? Outside automotive A/C terminology, I'm not familiar with the term.

Clifford Automotive
LOL, sorry Tim havent been on in awhile. The head (compressor) has too sides (pistons) one to build low pressure the other to build high pressure. The "high side" needs new gaskets and seals. If I remember right, it will build pressure up to about 110-120 then just run, because the high side cant build pressure.

TimTaylor751647545500
Kevin, What time are you usually at your shop until? I work nights and sleep during the day, so it's hard for me to make it out during the day. Let me know when you're there till, and I'll just come to pick it up if we can figure out a time.
